The Firm
Aethel Partners LLP is a global private equity, alternative asset management and financial services firm. Headquartered in London, the firm focuses on global opportunistic value strategies and other event-driven situations. Aethel Partners was founded in 2014 by Ricardo Santos Silva and Aba Schubert.

FOUNDERS
Ricardo Santos Silva
Co-Founder
Ricardo is a Portuguese entrepreneur and investor in the financial, technology and mining sectors. He co-founded Aethel Partners, a global private equity, alternative asset management and financial services firm headquartered in London. Ricardo also co-founded Dorae, the physical trade cloud and co-founded Aethel Mining, a multinational mining company. Ricardo studied economics at the University of Lisbon and physics (mechanics) at the Harvard University. Ricardo is a member of the Institute of Physics.
Aba Schubert
Co-Founder
Aba is an American entrepreneur and investor in the financial, technology and mining sectors. She co-founded Aethel Partners, a global private equity, alternative asset management and financial services firm headquartered in London. Aba also co-founded Dorae, the physical trade cloud and co-founded Aethel Mining, a multinational mining company. Aba received a math degree from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School. Aba served as a teaching fellow at Harvard University.

Illiquid strategies: focusing on off-market transactions, where proprietary deal sourcing capabilities give an edge over other funds and Aethel can invest in assets at a significant discount to intrinsic value;
Liquid strategies: deploying best-in-class research and trading strategies to achieve superior risk adjusted returns, while maintaining a flexible liquidity profile; and
Private Equity: funds dedicated to the opportunistic acquisition of assets.

Technology is a vital tool for Aethel. We have been exploring the application of distributed ledger technology and artificial intelligence since 2014. Digitalisation and automation are important elements of our internal processes and of the solutions we build for clients.
Aethel advises sovereign and private clients on the digitalisation of their systems and on the application of blockchain, artificial intelligence and other technologies. Our managers and researchers collaborate to bring practical results to clients, yielding clear cause-and-effect in the complex and dynamic technology landscape.
